" A Comprehensive, Cost-effective Approach For Reducing Utility & Energy Expenses "

ELECTRIC, NATURAL GAS, WATER, SEWAGE, STEAM AND OTHER

CURRENT OVERVIEW

Many utility service companiestoday - large, people - intensive businesses, make significant mistakes on their customer bills such as basic computation errors, incorrect tariff rate charges, and more!

Many electric utility companies today offer Demand Side ResponsePrograms that can significantly reduce their customers energy usage and costs!

The National Energy Policy Act of 1992 mandates that all energy users in the United States meet new minimum federal usage requirements. The Federal and State Governments offer various Energy Rebate Grants and Programs to qualifying businesses!

With the current deregulation of the natural gas and the electricutility industries, businesses can achieve significantenergycost savings through alternative sources!

Current State P.U.C. regulations and utility company tariffs do not require internal monitoring of customer bills for errors!

Utility companies are not required to be pro-active and inform customers that a more cost effective tariff rate/rider or Demand SideResponse Program is available unless they are requested to do so! Many Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers are unaware of Federal and State Energy RebateGrants and Programs that periodically become available!

SUMMARY:       IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL BUSINESSES TO MONITOR THEIR OWN UTILITY BILLS FOR BILLING ERRORS, AND TO CONTACT THEIR UTILITY SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR INFORMATION ON MORE COST EFFECTIVE BILLING RATES, AS WELL AS WHAT DEMAND SIDE RESPONSE, REBATE AND GRANT PROGRAMS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE!

PROBLEM:       BECAUSE OF DOWNSIZING AND CONSOLIDATION OF RESPONSIBILITIES MANY BUSINESSES TODAY DO NOT HAVE THE PERSONNEL OR ABILITY TO ANALYZE AND MANAGE THESE AREAS EFFECTIVELY ON AN ONGOING BASIS!

SOLUTION:       GIBSON CONSULTING GROUP CAN PROVIDE BUSINESSES WITH A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM FOR ANALYZING, MONITORING AND REDUCING UTILITY & ENERGY RELATED EXPENDITURES THROUGHOUT THEIR OPERATION!

OUR TOTAL PROGRAM!

In an effort to expand our basic Utility/Energy Service Auditing Service, Gibson Consulting Group has developed the UTILITY/ENERGY SERVICES AUDIT AND UTILI-SERV MANAGEMENT PROGRAM.  This comprehensive two part program goes far beyond the basic auditing program for our Clients by providing ongoing management and control of all utility and energy related services and expenditures both now and for the future!

HERE'S HOW TWO-PART PROGRAM WORKS!

Part 1:  Basic Utility/Energy Services Audit

Gibson Consulting Group will initially conduct an in-depth analysis of current and past utility/energy service charges at all of your locations.  To begin our analysis, we request utility bills for the previous twenty-four (24) months, including any special utility and energy related service/supply agreements.  We also need utility company service meter information from all of your location(s).

Your bills are then analyzed for discrepancies and overcharges related to incorrect rates and billing procedures. Current and alternative services, tariffs and programs are also evaluated.  Assuming that after our analysis, we find you are entitled to a refund or credit, we negotiate with the utility/energy companies on your behalf providing all support documentation as needed.  We will go back as far as the Statute of Limitations allows.

As part of our detailed Final Audit Report, we present recommendations to you regarding future cost saving opportunities in the utility and energy areas for your company.  Following approval of our recommendations, we assist with their full implementation.

Gibson Consulting Group works on a performance/contingency fee basis when providing the Basic Utility/Energy Services Audit portion of the total program for our Clients.  Our fee is based upon a percentage of the amount recovered for you, whether it is in the form of a cash refund, credit to your account, or future cost savings that is realized by your company for a 24-month period following the full implementation of each approved recommendation.  A minimal one-time processing fee is due prior to the start of our Basic Utility/Energy Services Audit and is based upon the size and/or complexity of the Client's accounts. The initial processing fee covers only a minimal portion of the administrative costs incurred by Gibson Consulting Group in the completion of the total project for our Client.  We believe that payment of this fee reflects a Client's commitment and vested interest in the overall success of the total project.

If other programs go even this far, this is where they traditionally stop.

Our UTILI-SERV Management Program extends far beyond this

Part 2:  UTILI-SERV Management Program

Following the presentation of the Basic Utility/Energy Audit Final Report, and the approval/implementation of the submitted recommendations, Gibson Consulting Group can provide total Management Control Services in the utility and energy related areas through the UTILI-SERV Management Program.  The specific services provided, which are mutually agreed upon by both parties, can include current and new Client location account maintenance, evaluation and recommendation of service upgrades, the review of bills for errors to maintain consistency of cost savings associated with the initial audit, evaluation of available cost effective energy efficiency programs (demand side response programs), and the development of budgetary reports forecasting utility/energy costs for future periods. (Invoice/Payment approval with A/P coding is available). Comprehensive monthly reports are provided following the implementation of the UTILI-SERV Management Program.  The monthly fee payable to Gibson Consulting Group is based upon the type and level of services/scope of work provided by our firm related to the management services options requested by the Client.  There is a 24-month minimum contract required for our firm to provide the UTILI-SERV Management Program that is separate from the contract covering the Basic Utility/Energy Services Audit.  (A non-refundable, account, database development fee is due prior to the initiation of the UTILI-SERV Management Program.)

NOTE: On-Site Energy Audits and other Energy Consumption Reduction, including Energy Purchasing and  Contract Negotiation Services are also provided by Gibson Consulting Group!
